Mixing is the delicate art of balancing and blending each element in the track, giving them all the space to sound their very best.
The process can include:
• Frequency equalization (EQ) per instrument
• Left and right “panning” for a wider stereo sound
• Adding post-processing effects like reverb, delay, and more.
Once your track has been fully captured as clear as possible and the mix engineer has carefully balanced each individual element, it’s ready to be mastered.
A mastered track balances each individual frequency within your track, making sure it sounds the same on your AirPods as it would on your home stereo, in the club, and in the car.
